Hand-carved from rapoka stone in Zimbabwe by husband and wife team Samuel and Gladys Mashava, this sculpture also known as "Ukama" or "Loving Family" depicts five figures merging together at various points, symbolizing the unity and shared spirit of a family. Shaped with simple hand-held chisels, polished with sand and beeswax, and heated over fire to reveal the stone's natural colour. Each piece is one of a kind.
